Brockenhurst Wine Club, Excellent, love the minerality
Papak Traminac Radosh (box of 6)
Traminac does very well in the far-eastern corners of the Slavonia and Podunavlje regions, and Papak makes his wine from the top quality, handpicked grapes.
Named after the position of the vineyard, Traminac Radosh is a brilliant golden yellow colour, full flavoured almost creamy with the scent of old roses and honey. Its aroma is intense yet delicate, aromatic and fruity. Crisp, well-bodied, and balanced, with a slightly bitterish aftertaste characteristic of this wine. Serve chilled.
This aromatic wine goes with most things. An excellent accomplishment to cheese, foie de gras, chicken, veal and even a curry. You may also enjoy it with your favourite sweet pastries and cakes.
Wine with a protected designation of origin (PDO): Hrvatsko Podunavlje
What experts at //www.jancisrobinson.com say about our wine
Notably golden compared with the three Graševinas tasted alongside. Glorious nose – comes tumbling out like notes out a trumpet, honeyed, crystallised rose petals, lychee syrup. Smells lusciously sweet, but on the palate it is very nearly dry. Just enough residual sugar to underpin the rose petal florality and plump up the lychee fruit, but not remotely flabby, hot or cloying as so many expressive Traminacs can be. I could imagine this with a baked Vacherin. Scored at 16/20
